Porter Shellhammer

Biography

Porter Shellhammer retired from Sarasota County Fire Department after 30-years in the fire service. Porter has been training Fire and Emergency Medical personnel for over 30 years locally and at the national level, in preparedness and response, as an Adjunct Instructor with the National Fire Academy and Texas A&M. Porter has a Bachelor degree in Executive Management and was credentialed as a Plans Section Chief with the Florida Division of Forestry. He holds many instructor credentials including Florida Instructor III, CPR, First Aid, AED, and NRA Basic Pistol.
